Module 10
Web 2.0 tools, such as blogs, Google Docs, podcast, facebook and many many more plays an very imporant role in sharing information with others online. Unlike traditional media, broadcasting of internet resources is much faster, more efficient and most of them is free to use, which making it a great tool. For example, I can create a Question & Answer blog within few minutes and send the link to my students who are in my class, whenever they have questions on their homework and certain subjects, they can post their questions on my blog and I can solve it straight away, this is hard to imagine without internet in old days. Therefore CEO web 2.0 courses become much more essential for interactive learning and teaching online for teachers and me.

Module 9
I watched Online Social Networks - Friend or Foe?(Part of the series School Matters), the clip talking about the rise of online social networking has brought a new dimension to social interaction and exploring the issues that they raise for teachers. There is no doubt websites like MySpaces, Twitter, Facebook and etc. are great social networking websites, allowing you interact with friends online and make more new friends but the down side coming with it is also obvious, it includes cyberbully which is much harder to detect and trace the source, kids spending too much time in it and deserting their study which leads to less exercise outdoors, may cause them losing ability to interact with others in person. So I think what important for teachers and parents is we should work together to teach our kids how to use these tools, use it as a tool for efficient work and study, not addictive to it.
Module 8
According to whatisrss.com, RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a technology for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it. First, I registered google reader, then with google reader I enter the websites that I want to grab RSS feeds from, saving me trouble of going to various websites 1 by 1 everyday to find out what is happening, instead I can go to 1 single site: google reader, to find out what has been changed on different websites.

Module 7
I reckon delicious.com is a good website, especially for teachers in 1 faculty, for example, maths department, whenever one maths teacher finds a good website for maths class, she can tag this website on dilicious.com and invite all other maths teachers to see the links and comments, and other maths teachers can do the same and when someone finds a good link on others' website, he/she can click "save" button to add it into her bookmark, nice. In this case, all maths department can share same good websites just in a small matter of time, saving the trouble like: I have all the good websites, I have to send you the links to your email and if someone else likes them, I have to send again.
Module 6
Bubbl.us is a simple and free web application that lets you brainstorm online. it's quite handy in publishing your ideas to others, especially it can share sheets in read-only or full access mode which means the friends you invited can add in their ideas too! Imagine this: there is a project but some of the project members travel overseas on business, it is impossible to have a meeting with everyone in same room, what we can do is to organize a video conference and do a bit briefing, publish the brainstorm link on bubbl.us and grant all members full access to it, so whoever got ideas, they can mark it in the sheet, more importantly everyone else can see it.
Module 5
Youtube is a very powerful tool to share videos with others, here is a good example: teachers don't have to actually be in classroom to hand out an assignment in person, say, a teacher is sick today, he/she can make a quick video to hand out homeworks for his/her class and how he/she expects the homework to be done, then upload it to youtube and email the link of the video to the whole class, so students can know what the requirements for this homework are everywhere as long as they got internet access, or even they don't have internet access, there is an alternative that I found a powerful website which is used to download video clips from youtube and other similar video sharing websites, http://keepvid.com/, students can go to this website and download the videoclip of youtube into their computer in order to watch it anytime they like.
